Apple puree Apple puree This puree can be given for 6 months babies. It is easily digestible for babies and doesn't cause any allergies. It can be given as first food for babies. Ingredients Apple - 1/2 Method Take a juicy and sweet apple. Wash the apple. Peel the skin of apple and cut it into pieces. Pressure cook the apples with little water for 2 whistles Or Steam the apples in steamer or idly pot Or Boil some water in sauce pan and add the diced apple pieces. Cook it until it becomes soft. Strain the remaining water and allow the apples to cool. Take the apple in a mixie jar and blend it to fine puree and feed it to baby. Add only little water for cooking or You can feed the remaining water to baby. -- SaranyaAjith

Sprouted Ragi porridge For Babies Ragi Porridge Ingredients Sprouted ragi powder Method Take a required spoon of sprouted ragi powder in a pan. Add water and mix it well without any lumps. Cook it on low flame.  Boil the porridge until it becomes thick. Remove from the flame once done and cool it down. The porridge becomes thick after cooling down. You can give it as runny porridge or thick porridge. It will be a filling meal for babies. Variations For different flavours you can add boiled and mashed carrot to the porridge. Sprouted Ragi Porridge Flour / Baby Food

Sprouted Ragi porridge flour Ingredients Ragi seeds-1 cup Method Wash the ragi seeds 3 to 4 times in water. Wash well by rubbing the ragi with your hands. It may contain lot of mud. Soak it covered for 6 to 7 hours. Then strain the water completely. Take the ragi in clean white cloth and tie it. Leave it for 8 to 10 hours for sprouting. After 10 hours you can see small sprouts from it. Then spread it in a cloth and allow it to dry well for 4 to 5 hours. You can either dry it under sun or fan. Then heat a kadai and roast the dried ragi. Roast it for 5 minutes on a low flame. Allow it to cool completely. Then transfer it to clean and dry mixie jar and blend it to fine powder.
