Ponnankanni keerai thuvayal


Ingredients

Ponnankanni keerai - 3 cups
Mustard seed - 1 tsp
Urad dal-1 tbsp
Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 10 to 12
Tamarind - Lemon size
Salt - as required
Oil-2 tsp

Method 

Pick the keerai from stem. 
Clean the keerai and rinse well with water for 2 times and dry it. 
Soak tamarind in water. 
Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal, asafoetida, red chillies one by one fry till the color changes. 
Then add keerai and saute it till it shrink and changes in color. 
Switch off and cool it completely. 
Add it to mixie jar, add salt, tamarind and some water. 
Grind it to paste. 
Serve it with hot rice or idly, dosa.
